SORORITY HIP HOP CREW 2011

"We dance because we want to inspire people, we dance because we want to inspire each other, and we dance because it's our passion"

Sorority Hip Hop Crew started in January 2010 with a group of young talented individuals who all had a common goal and passion for dance.
The 2011 crew is made up of 9 members (2 boys and 7 girls) each with their own aspirations and dreams whilst maintaining their humble approach towards life and within themselves.  They will no doubt continue to focus on the likelihood of achieving fantastic results in a manner that will still broaden their minds to stay open to learning each day and grow into young accomplished adults that our younger generation can aspire too.

Parris Goebel is the director of the Palace Dance Studio and founder of "ReQuest Dance Crew" who are the current reigning World Hip Hop International Champs 2009, 2010 and  were recently  featured in the internationally renown "Randy Jacksons Americas Best Dance Crew - Season 6".  Parris is an exceptional choreographer who has brought her fine attention to detail and expansive knowledge in the world of hip hop dance to all the members of the Royal Family Crews from The Palace Dance Studio.  She has witnessed the abundance of talent  that expels freely from each member of Sorority and has closely observed their formation as a crew being a strong, well rounded  and caring group of dancers.  She continues to apply her expertise in this field by fully encouraging Sorority to be the best that they can be as well as guiding each crew member to evolve individually within their talent for dance in record time.

Sorority have worked very hard this year, practising often each week with some of the sessions lasting up to 3 hours long on occasion.  As most of the dancers are college students  it is imperative that they maintain their own time management  to allow for  their development of education and dance practise to be incorporated throughout their every day lives.

With their attentive focus and determination to succeed they have successfully fulfilled one of their goals by combining their efforts of teamwork.  Sorority have just competed at the NZ Hip Hop Championships 2011 and achieved outstanding results by being awarded 1st Place in the Varsity Section of the competition.

NZ HIP HOP CHAMPIONSHIPS 2011 - RESULTS:
Auckland Pre-lims - March: 1st Place
Auckland Regionals - March: 1st Place
NZ Nationals - April: 1st Place

Since they achieved first place they have qualified to represent New Zealand at the World Hip Hop Championship that is being held in Las Vegas, USA from the 26th July - 31st July 2011.
Sorority will now be increasing their training schedules at The Palace Dance Studio to maximise their abilities to achieve greater results which will be a probable outcome for a crew that has such solid strength.
We are honoured to represent our country and aim to medal as one of the top three crews in  the varsity section.

Each dancer needs to fund raise their airfare and accommodation in the U.S.  Part of the funding will come through sponsorship.  Each crew member is approaching individuals and companies to sponsor them.  They need to raise $4,500 dollars for each dancer so any amount donated towards that total is going to assist. The funds will cover their flights, accommodation, on ground transport and food.

We would appreciate you considering being a sponsor.  Every dollar helps towards the crew having the experience of a lifetime and representing New Zealand.  The amount of your sponsorship is totally subject to your approval and therefore, we are very grateful for your kind donation and assistance.

Many thanks in advance for your support and perusal on considering our 'request' to enable Sorority Hip Hop Crew to attend the Hip Hop International World Championships 2011.
